Published: August 9, 2012

— A construction worker was injured Wednesday morning when he fell at the Pegula Ice Arena work site.

Mortenson Construction, the contractor, said in a statement that the man was taken to Mount Nittany Medical Center for treatment.

The company did not identify the man, who was with subcontractor Cives Steel Company, and did not provide information about his condition.

In the statement, company officials said the man fell around 10 a.m. Wednesday while performing iron work on the site of the future arena.

They said an investigation will continue into the cause of the accident.

A Penn State spokeswoman declined to comment, and instead referred to the construction company’s statement.
