UNIVERSITY PARK — Bri Garcia and freshmen Raquel Rodriguez Cedeño and Mallory Weber scored Nittany Lion goals as the Penn State women’s soccer team beat Villanova 3-1 in an exhibition game Saturday night at Jeffrey Field.
Reanna Marino scored for the Wildcats, who faced 32 Nittany Lion shots, 14 of which were on goal.
Penn State, which opens its regular season Friday at Virginia, will host a season kickoff along with the men’s team at 2 p.m. today at Jeffrey Field. The event, free and open to the public, will include a youth clinic and autograph session with kids in eighth grade or under invited to attend.
