Philipsburg man wanted for evading court turns himself in

Published: August 16, 2012

A Philipsburg man who was wanted in Clearfield County after he didn’t show up for a court date in July has turned himself in.

Michael Webster, 31, is charged with DUI from an incident on Dec. 31. He was scheduled for a court date July 12, and a warrant was issued for his arrest after he failed to appear.

Clearfield County District Attorney William Shaw announced on Tuesday that Webster was wanted. Shaw said Webster turned himself in to sheriff’s deputies later that day.

Shaw said police got a report that a man was pounding on a window of a parked car on New Year’s Eve at the Clearfield Hospital. Police later stopped the car and arrested Webster, who was taken to the hospital for a blood test.
