OK, now the lynch mob has gone insane.
Just last month, the Center for World University Rankings placed Penn State at No. 64 out of 20,000 universities in the world for academic performance. And no, it wasn’t football that so impressed the judges.
Now our academic accreditation is being challenged.
This has gone light-years beyond the context of a criminal sex predator or the university’s reaction. It is now anybody with a pen and paper or a microphone grandstanding for their own self-gratification with no relevance to positive advancement or even reality.
It is now time for the university to stand up for itself and fight against injustice (yes, you read that correctly) instead of rolling over for public appeasement because obviously the public will never be appeased until the campus is nuked into glass.
Welcome to Salem.
