Cat reportedly shot by crossbow near Pleasant Gap

Published: August 17, 2012

— Spring Township police said a stray cat may have been shot by a crossbow Friday morning.

Police were called to the 200 block of North Vanessa Drive after residents said an arrow had been shot into the neck of a small calico cat. The cat was still alive and is expected to recover after being taken to a local veterinarian’s office, police said.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police at 800-479-0050. Police think the bow may have had a 20-inch arrow.
