As Election Day 2012 approaches, I have been waiting to see some — any — change in national Republican outlook.
Since 2008 there has been no attempt to do anything constructive for the nation, with the sole agenda being to favor the party’s hugely wealthy clientele and to embarrass the opposite party — and in particular the president.
So we should reward them by giving them our votes?
Because this agenda of doing nothing is largely unchanged in the past 12 years, why don’t the Republicans seeking election trot out George W. Bush and Dick Cheney to help them with their campaigns?
Simple. If they would do so, they would immediately be identified with the Republican Party and the leaders who left this nation in shambles upon departing in 2008.
