— Penn State was voted fifth in the preseason Big Ten coaches poll as the men’s soccer season approaches.

In addition, a trio of Nittany Lions were honored as players to watch this fall in the Big Ten.

Defending conference champion Nothwestern and Indiana, which played in the NCAA title match last season, shared the top spot in voting. Michigan State and Ohio State followed, ahead of the Nittany Lions.

The 21-member Big Ten Players to Watch List included senior midfielders Jacob Barron and Minh Vu along with sophomore goalkeeper Andrew Wolverton.
