Published: August 24, 2012

A Bellefonte man is facing burglary charges after police said he broke into his former workplace and stole cleaning products.

James Rackoski, 50, was arrested Wednesday night after a report from two people, one of whom is related to the owner of the company, Centre Chemical on South Potter Street, police said. Police said they were told Rackoski hadn’t worked there since January but was seen leaving the business.

Police interviewed Rackoski, who admitted to stealing a bottle of cleaner. Police said in the charging documents they saw other items with Centre Chemical’s name and logo on them inside his house.

Rackoski is charged with felony counts of burglary and trespassing plus misdemeanor theft and receiving stolen property.

Police charged Rackoski with various drug offenses because they said they found marijuana and drug paraphernalia when searching his house.

Rackoski is in jail on $10,000 bail.
