ELMIRA — Kevin Zuercher fired a six-over 77 to lead State College to a third-place finish in a Mid-Penn match Tuesday at the Royal Oaks Golf Course.

Hershey won with a 393 total, nine strokes better than Lower Dauphin. State College finished at 415.

“I’m very happy for Zuercher,” said Little Lions coach Keith Bless. “It’s nice to see a kid shoot his personal best on the road.”

Ty Gates and Nick Kiraly bothshotan 83 for State College. Ethan Kasales scored an 85 and Nick Venturino had an 87 as the Little Lions improved to 13-11 for the season.

The Little Lions will be at Altoona on Sept. 6.
