A Berwick woman has been charged with stealing pills from a drug store where she used to work.

Brianna Harner, 23, is alleged to have stolen 220 hydrocodone tablets worth $144 from the CVS pharmacy at the Nittany Mall, according to the charging documents filed Tuesday.

Authorities said she also took makeup, cigarettes and other merchandise worth $328. She also told authorities she used $50 in fraudulent coupons.

Harner was arrested by the Attorney General’s Office after a report from the pharmacy.

Harner faces misdemeanor charges of theft and drug possession.

Harner was serving a yearlong probation sentence stemming from charges she stole coupons from Giant Food Store in Ferguson Township last year.

Harner was released on $10,000 unsecured bail and is awaiting a preliminary hearing next week.
