Letter to the editor | Mobile home park a friendly place

Published: August 30, 2012

I have lived in State College for 18 years. The past four years, I have lived at Penn State Mobile Home Park, which have been the best since living in State College.

It is more than a mobile home park; it’s a small community. The people who live there are the nicest people that I have met since living in State College. I have never had neighbors who are so caring and helpful since living in State College.

It is too bad that they are closing the park to rezone it. No other place in State College where I lived had neighbors like I have now. I almost gave up hope of living in State College until I moved to the mobile home park .

Now I am moving back to Bellefonte. The people who live there are always friendly, unlike those in State College. State College seems to center on college students or people who have money. I am neither one.

I hope and pray that all the people being displaced by the developer find a good place to live.
