I am not sure why there is still a lot of chatter and discussion about the NCAA sanctions on Penn State generally and, more specifically, the football team.
After all, as reported in this newspaper, President Barack Obama has declared stiff sanctions by the NCAA on the Penn State football program to be appropriate. Surely he would not want innocent, noninvolved employees or students to suffer. Surely he would not want innocent, noninvolved football players currently on the squad or possible recruits to suffer. And surely he would not want innocent, noninvolved community businesses to suffer.
Some businesses may fail, some people may lose jobs and/or health care. Obama made his declaration in an interview with an Ohio sports talk show. Perhaps he is an Ohio State fan.
