BELLEFONTE — The Bellefonte girls soccer team won the 100th game in program history as the Lady Red Raiders split a pair of games in the Raider Classic tournament on Saturday.
The Lady Raiders reached the milestone with their 2-0 semifinal victory over Huntingdon. After a scoreless first half, Kristin Buchanan broke the drought with a goal at 49:32. Buchanan took a through pass from Morgan Brooks and beat the Huntingdon goalie with a low shot to the far post.
Buchanan returned the favor by assisting on Brooks insurance goal, a low shot to the near post. Goalie Brooke Redfern did not have to make a save as the Lady Raiders controlled the contest with 22 shots.
Bellefonte fell 4-0 to Selinsgrove in the title game. Alicia Torruella scored twice for Selinsgrove, while Jenna Fisher and Lacey Troutman added one goal each.
Redfern made 12 saves for the Lady Raiders.
