Published: September 5, 2012

— Bald Eagle Area and Central Mountain squared off in a marathon, but the Lady Eagles fell 22-25, 25-21, 25-20, 23-25, 15-10 on Tuesday.

“We struggled competing today,” said BEA head coach Larry Campbell, whose team dropped to 0-2. “We have to play hard every time and we’re not doing a good job starting right out of the gate.”

Despite the loss, Kait Miller and Nicole Doroshenko combined for 18 kills on the night while Tylor Yarrison led the Lady Eagles with six blocks. Lauren Newman led the team with eight digs and Courtney Fisher also chipped in five digs. Setter Jess Bessler had 23 assists.
