State College police seek man in reported assault

STATE COLLEGE — Police are seeking information about a man involved in a reported assault that occurred at 12:33 a.m. on July 5, outside The Saloon, 101 Hiester St.

Police said Wednesday an unidentified white male punched a female in the face, then punched her male friend in the head and knocked him down on the sidewalk.

The suspect is described as about five feet, six inches tall, wearing a dark-colored Hollister CALIF T-shirt, sunglasses on his head, long khaki shorts, black sneakers with no socks, and a gold-colored necklace. He had long sideburns, a thin beard, short dark-brown hair, and tattoos on his arms.

The suspect was accompanied by at least two other white males, one of whom was heavy-set and wearing a white T-shirt, police said.
