Man punched in face in State College, taken to hospital

— A man was punched in the face at the intersection of South Fraser Street and West Foster Avenue early Saturday morning, State College Police said.

The alleged assault by an unidentified man occurred around 1:50 a.m., police said.

The man who was punched was treated at Mount Nittany Medical Center for two knocked-out teeth and lacerations on the back of his neck.

He described the person who assaulted him as a white male, 6 feet tall and wearing a blue shirt.

Police said the incident is under investigation.
