Green Day will make its debut appearance at Bryce Jordan Center early next year.
The Grammy Award-winning punk-rock band will bring its “Uno, Dos, Tre Tour!” to the Penn State venue at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 11. Tickets cost $52, $42 and $27.50 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday. A digital copy of Green Day’s new album, “Uno,” scheduled to be released in will be included with each ticket purchased. The band will begin to release a trilogy of albums called “¡Uno!” “¡Dos!” and “¡Tré!” Sept. 25, Nov. 13, and Jan. 15 respectively.
Not only did the California band break out of its local punk scene to help popularize punk rock and to earn gold and multi-platinum record status, it also was behind the Broadway/touring musical “American Idiot,” which was nominated for several Tony Awards.
Tickets can be purchased at the Bryce Jordan Center, Eisenhower Auditorium, Penn State Downtown Theatre, online at www.bjc.psu.edu or ticketmaster.com, or by calling 865-5555 or 800-359-5175.
