BELLEFONTE — Bellefonte’s Alexis Franks raced to a second-place finish in a time of 23 minutes, 28 seconds, as the Lady Raiders dropped a pair of meets to Clearfield (22-39) and Philipsburg-Osceola (25-31) on Tuesday.

Anya Hoaglund (25:05) finished fifth for Bellefonte, while Cheyenne Hutton (26:46) turned in a ninth-place finish for P-O, which also lost to Clearfield 15-50.

Also finishing in the top 20 were P-O’s Taylor Guelich, Abigail Slogosky, Kylie Whitehead, Natesha Harned and Cheyanne Cowfer.

Brooke Shirey and Kellie Rice turned in top 20 finishes for Bellefonte

On the boys’ side, Mitchell Smith of Bellefonte took home first place witha 18:26 effort, as the Red Raiders beat Clearfield 18-45, and P-O 15-50.

Garrett Pensak, Matt Dabiero, Ethan Diefenbach, Sean Gipson and Ian Marshall turned in top 10 finishes for Bellefonte.

Meanwhile, Caleb Bennett was P-O’s top finisher with a 14th-place run in 21:25. The Mounties also dropped the meet to Clearfield 17-46.
