STATE COLLEGE — State College girls' cross country raced in a nail biter on Tuesday afternoon, as it edged out Mifflin County by just one point.
The Lady Little Lions took the 27-28 win, with the help of Emily Sausman, who finished in the nine slot for State College and finished just one second before Mifflin County's Jessica Miller to secure the win for State College.
Victora Scutti, who is new to the sport this year, did a great job leading the team, coming in first overall for State College and second in the meet, with a time of 22:29.
Jael Goldfine, Shannon Pigott and Makenna Pollock also finished in the top 10 for the Lady Little Lions.
The State College boys' cross country team cruised to its second win on the season as it defeated Mifflin County 21-37.
Will Cather finished second overall and came in first for the Little Lions with a time of 17:07. He was followed by Kyle Adams, Kevin Drage, Chris Golembeski, Alex Curtze and Matt Beyerly who all finished in the top 10.
