STATE COLLEGE — State College won its first home Mid-Penn match on Tuesday night as they took down Central Dauphin in three straight sets 25-18, 25-21, 25-7.
Christine Irwin and Emma Weakland combined for an impressive 31 kills while Suzanne Horner added in 30 assists.
Irwin also dug out 24 balls while Jackie Horner contributed to the win with five blocks and five aces.
"We have to play better then we did tonight," said State College coach Chad Weight. "Central Dauphin is a solid team and we didn't come out with a lot of fire and energy and a lot of control."
State College now improves its record to 3-0 as it gets set for Thursday night's match at Mifflin County.
