New York man accused of selling pot in State College pleads guilty

Published: September 15, 2012

— A New York man pleaded guilty Friday in Centre County court to felony drug charges.

Authorities said Andre Dews, 22, of Roosevelt, N.Y., was selling marijuana in the State College area, and a confidential informant bought the drugs from him twice a week in March and April 2011.

Police said Dews told police he got marijuana from another source to sell for $1,400 a pound.

The Centre County Drug Task Force conducted controlled buys from him and then charged him after getting a search warrant for his home.

District Attorney Stacy Parks Miller said Dews is looking at 11 1/2 to 23 1/2 months months in the county jail.
