Additional mosquito and bird samples tested positive for the West Nile virus in Centre County at the end of last week, according to the state Department of Environmental Protection.
Mosquito samples were found in Liberty Township and Howard. Birds were found in State College and Ferguson, Halfmoon and Harris townships.
That brings county totals to one human case, 24 birds, 50 mosquito samples and two horses that have tested positive for the virus this summer.
