I attended the Navy-Penn State football game on Saturday.
What a magnificent event. The atmosphere of respect for our armed services and the two teams that played the game was an inspiration to all 98,000 in attendance.
To hear and watch both teams join together to sing the respective alma maters was an honor for the teams and the schools that were represented.
Penn State was a proud host for the Naval Academy and every veteran and active service person in attendance.
I hope other news media and NCAA and Big Ten executives were able to view what football can be, other than a football factory. The culture at Penn State is and always has been about the students, the players, the programs, the university and the town.
As a Penn State alumnus, I could not be more proud of my university than I was Saturday.
We are Penn State!
