A press conference with state officials and a public forum on voter ID will be held at the HUB-Robeson Cultural Center on Wednesday.

The conference, which features Secretary of State Carol Aichele, is being held to remind young voters about the importance of casting their ballots and to explain Pennsylvania’s new voter identification law, which goes into effect with the Nov. 6 election, according to a university press release. The “Why Vote?” forum is also scheduled for later that evening also in the HUB.

The press conference is at 10:30 a.m.; the forum is at 8 p.m. Forum speakers include Jay Paterno, Coquese Washington and John Gastill.
