A Bellefonte man was charged early Sunday with firing a handgun at a woman after an alleged domestic dispute.
State police at Rockview said Dennis L. Fetters Jr., 32, fired a round into the ground at a woman's feet after the dispute.
Police said Fetters and the woman, whom they did not identify, were arguing around 6:10 a.m. at a home on Dixon Road in Benner Township when she threw a cup of coffee on Fetters.
Fetters then retrieved a 9 mm handgun and fired a round near her feet, according to police.
He was later arrested without incident and charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person and other charges, police said.
Fetters was arraigned before District Judge Carmine Prestia and was placed in Centre County Correctional Facility on $25,000 bail.
