PHILADELPHIA — Penn State could not post a win on the final day of the Cissy Leary Invitational on Sunday.
Chelsea Utting, who had been running off wins in the consolation bracket, had to withdraw down 6-5 in the first set to Dart-mouth’s Akiko Okuda. Sarah Henderson lost to Sarah O’Neill 6-0, 6-2 and Jacqueline Zuhse fell 6-3, 7-5 to Cornell’s Ryann Young. Henderson and Zuhse also fell 8-5 in doubles to Maryland’s Sarah Gealar and Vroni Van Berlo.
Utting and Petra Januskova are back on the court at the ITA All-American Championships in California next weekend.
