PARK RIDGE, Ill. — Penn State's Maya Hayes and Mallory Weber were honored by the Big Ten for their performances in a 4-1 win over Northwestern and a 4-0 victory over Illinois last weekend.
Hayes, the Offensive Player of the Week, had three goals and two assists over the two games while Weber, the Co-Freshman of the Week, had one goal and one assist.
The Nittany Lions, who visit Ohio State on Thursday, moved up to No. 8 in the NSCAA coaches poll, No. 5 in the TopDrawerSoccer.com poll and No. 3 in the NCAA RPI list.
