UNIVERSITY PARK — Ellen Ceresko fired a 3-under 69 Friday to take the first-round lead and a pair of teammates joined her in the top 10 as Penn State holds the top spot in the Nittany Lions Invitational.
The Nittany Lions posted a 4-over 292 team total on the 6,229-yard, par-72 Blue Course. The second round will be played today and the final round Sunday for the 17-team field. Old Dominion is second, four strokes back.
Ceresko holds a two-stroke lead over Columbia’s Joanna Henry, and joining her in the top 10 are Christina Vosters, who is tied for fifth at 1 over, and Catherine Herrera, who is tied for ninth at 2 over 74. Emily Ran-some and Elyse
Archambault are tied for 19th with their rounds of 76 and Katlyn Elliott is tied for 28th at 77.
