SINKING VALLEY — State College’s four scoring players shot 80 or better as the Little Lions edged Hollidaysburg 312-314 to win Tuesday’s sectional tournament at Sinking Valley Country Club.
Ben Galenberg led the LIttle Lions by shooting a two-over-par 74. He finished second behind Hollidaysburg’s Jordan Kirsh in the individual scoring. State College’s Tyrus Gates shot 78 to tie for fourth place.
Kevin Zuercher and Ethan Kasales both shot 80 for the Little Lions.
State College qualified for next week’s District 6 Championships at Scotch Valley with the strong performance. Alex Stover shot 81 to qualify for the individual portion of the tournament.
