On Tuesday, the Red Cross joined the Delta Program for a fall blood drive.
Blood drives have been a tradition for several years now at Delta, though the drives are typically held in spring. Community members from Delta and its surrounding neighborhoods participated in the effort. The need for blood donation is often higher after the summer months because people tend to get busy with other things.
I was so impressed by the students and staff of Delta. They worked together to organize and oversee the event. Students baked delicious goodies, collected food donations for those donating to the cause, collected information about individuals donating and provided interesting conversation. Kudos to Delta (again).
