PHILIPSBURG — Bellefonte went on the road to shut out Philipsburg 2-0 en route to its eighth win of the season.

Jordan Newman opened the scoring in the second half with a goal in the 48th minute courtesy of an assist from Tyler Rhoads.

Then, Dakota Nixdorf put home a goal in the 58th minute off a Grant Stone helper.

Bellefonte moved to 8-4 with the win.

Shane Kaschalk made eight saves to preserve the save for Bellefonte while Jay Prentice turned away six Bellefonte shots
