Women’s tennis: Penn State’s Devan McCluskey wins at tourney

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — Penn State’s Devan McCluskey won the singles final in the Lauren Nikolaus Flight at the Tribe Invitational on Sunday at the College of William & Mary.

McCluskey defeated Amanda Lin of Harvard after dropping the first set, winning, 5-7, 6-3, 10-5. Sarah Henderson fell in the Marion Gengler Flight final to Victoria Khanevskaya of Kansas, 6-2, 7-6. Carmen Sandor beat Amy He of Harvard 7-5, 6-3 for fifth place of the Megan Moulton-Levy Flight. Jacqueline Zuhse beat Penn’s Srindhi Raghavan 4-6, 7-5, 10-8 for fifth in the Julie Shiflet Flight. Katherine Whiteaway was seventh in the Cherie Dow Flight.
