PHILIPSBURG — State police said a Port Matilda woman reported missing Wednesday was found dead today in her car along a road in Rush Township.

Mary Ellen Houck was reported missing by her husband after she left in her car in the morning and didn't return. She was located today at 11:20 a.m.

Police said the cause of death is unknown and being investigated. However, they said there are no suspicious circumstances present in the case.

Centre County Coroner Scott Sayers pronounced Houck dead at 11:50 a.m.
