MADISON, Wis. Penn State’s women’s team placed eighth among 48 teams at the Wisconsin Invitationals on Friday.
Penn State totaled 383 points and topped several ranked teams in the field. Iowa State won with 109.
Rebekka Simco’s 34th-place finish paced the Nittany Lions. She covered the 6K course in 20 minutes, 20 seconds. Brooklyne Ridder (69th, 20:39), Victoria Perri (75th, 20:41), Natalie Bower (97th, 20:49) and Tori Gerlach (108th, 20:52) scored for Penn State.
The Nittany Lion men’s team placed 41st. Nick Scarpello 128th, 24:25) was Penn State’s top finisher in the 8K race.
