The Penn State men’s soccer team walked away from Jeffrey Field on a warm, sunny Sunday afternoon with a 2-1 win over Michigan State.

Daniel Burnham and John Gallagher picked up the goals for the Nittany Lions (7-4-2, 2-1-1 Big Ten), who outshot the Spartans 11-8 and held a 7-0 advantage in corner kicks. Gallagher converted on one of those corner kicks, with his boot deflecting off a Spartan defender and past keeper Zach Bennett in the 48th minute. Burnham scored on a rebound of a Julian Cardona shot in the 20th minute for his third goal of the season.

Andrew Wolverton made one save in the win, giving up only a score from Adam Montague in the 55th minute.
