The Penn State police officer struck by a car while on bicycle patrol Sept. 25 continues to recover, university spokeswoman Lisa Powers said.

The 27-year-old Williams, who is recovering at home, has not yet returned to work, Power said. The officer was on routine patrol on Park Avenue when she was struck at 6:36 a.m. by Walter Browne, 56, of Bellefonte.

Williams was flown by helicopter to Altoona Regional Hospital where she was listed in serious condition.

Browne was not injured, and he was not charged in the accident.
