Kristin Buchanan’s hat trick paces Lady Raider soccer win

WINGATE — Kristin Buchanan scored a hat trick to help the Bellefonte girls’ soccer team notch a 4-0 victory over Bald Eagle Area on Wednesday.

Buchanan struck within the first two minutes, assisted by Morgan Brooks, and again less than 10 minutes later, assisted by Ashleigh Turner. Buchanan scored her final goal late in the second half, assisted again by Brooks in the 79th minute. Buchanan now has 22 goals on the season.

Madisen Paige also scored for the Lady Red Raiders (13-3) and was assisted by Emily Martell. Keeper Brooke Redfern deflected BEA’s lone shot on the goal. Bellefonte has outscored its opponents 76-14 this season.

Mikayla Robison and Makennah Dyke combined for 10 saves for the Lady Eagles.
