BEALLSVILLE, Md. Sophomore Jens Talbert is tied for fourth individually to pace the Penn State men's golf team to a fourth place after two rounds in the 12-team field at the Georgetown Intercollegiate at the Members Club at Four Streams.
The Nittany Lions have a 583 total, three strokes behind third-place Michigan State. Toledo (575) leads Notre Dame by a stroke.
Talbert is at even-par 142 after rounds of 73 and 69. Teammate Chris Houston is another stroke backand tied for eighth after rounds of 72 and 71. Jay Woodward (149) Xander McDonald-Smith (149) and Geoff Vartelas ( 154) are also competing for the Nittany Lions.
Eastern Michigan's Brian Churchill-Smith leads with a 4-under-par 138 through two rounds.
