Women's volleyball: Penn State sophomore Micha Hancock bests all other league setters

UNIVERSITY PARK — Penn State sophomore Micha Hancock was named the Big Ten Setter of the Week, conference officials announced Monday. This is the fourth setter honor of the season for Hancock.

Hancock guided Penn State to a 3-0 win at No. 20 Ohio State on Oct. 17 and a 3-2 victory at Michigan on Oct. 20. For the week, Hancock averaged just over 11 assists per set and two digs per set.

Against the Buckeyes, Hancock guided Penn State to a .342 hitting percentage. She tallied 53 assists, had five kills in seven errorless attempts and also posted seven digs. At Michigan, Hancock paced the offense to a .232 hitting percentage and registered 53 assists. She recorded seven kills and was third on the team with nine digs.
