UNIVERSITY PARK With two goals and an assist to add to her early-season totals this past week, Penn State's Shannon Yoxheimer was named College Hockey America's Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.
The freshman tallied Penn State's goal during Friday's 2-1 loss to Sacred Heart then added a goal and an assist in the Nittany Lions' 6-1 win over the Pioneers on Saturday.
Yoxheimer has fired 43 shots on goal this season and leads the team with four goals. She's tied with captain Taylor Gross with five points.
