I want to alert voters to a great candidate running for the state House in the 77th Congressional District. The candidate is Ron Reese, a local dairy farmer who has lived and worked in Centre County his entire life.
Reese has shown his dedication to hard work by owning and operating a successful working dairy farm for many years.
Reese is a strong supporter of getting the government out of the way of businesses. Many well-intentioned regulations have had dire consequences for industry in Pennsylvania. He wants to end the monopoly government has on the liquor stores in the state. The state-run liquor stores cause the cost of wine and spirits to be higher than in surrounding states, on average.
His opponent has been in office for almost six years and has little to show for it besides a run for lieutenant governor in 2008 and pushing for a Constitutional Convention. How about we elect someone who will enforce the Pennsylvania Constitution we have now?
