Saturday’s column, “What if every woman participated?” by Kate Michelman and Carol Tracy was a really stunning example of the how wrong people can be when they assume everyone else thinks like they do.

Do they really think it’s just those tactless, deaf men preventing a brave new world of so-called reproductive freedom?

Or are they just refusing to acknowledge that many women simply don’t agree with them on these issues they assume to be so clear-cut and beyond debate?

If so, it’s Michelman and Tracy who are just “not getting it.”

I sincerely hope they do not speak for WomenVote PA as a whole, because their view reveals either incredible ignorance or a disappointing disrespect for differing opinions. Either way, it’s insulting.

Since when do we all have to toe some party line just because we are women?

I vote anti-abortion and support the ultrasound bill. And I know many other women who do as well — some who vote and some who don’t.
