UNIVERSITY PARK — A Penn State student suffered a skull fracture in an assault early Saturday on the 200 block of Locust Lane.
State College police said the male student, whom they did not identify, was arguing with several people around 1 a.m. Saturday when he was struck by one of the other men.
The student fell backward and struck his head, knocking him unconscious. He regained consciousness at the scene and was taken to Mount Nittany Medical Center, where he was found to have serious head injuries, police said.
He was later flown to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
