State College opens with rout of Norwin

MONROEVILLE — The State College ice hockey team won its season opener at Norwin 7-4 on Monday as Dalton Bown turned in a five-point night.

Bown tallied a goal and four assists while Stefan Horgas added a hat trick and an assist.

Jared Karas added two goals and an assist while Andrew Moscone also scored for the Little Lions.

State College was outshot 38-26 by Norwin but Little Lion netminder Zac Woytowich was up to the task, stopping 34 shots to secure the win.

The Little Lions next face Butler on Thursday at Penn State.
