UNIVERSITY PARK Season tickets and single meet tickets, including double dual meets, will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday for the 2012-13 Penn State mens and womens gymnastics seasons. All tickets can be purchased by calling Penn State Athletics at 1-800-NITTANY or by visiting the athletic ticket office inside the Bryce Jordan Center.
The mens program will entertain four regular season meets at Rec Hall, as well as proudly serving as host to the 2013 NCAA Championships for the eighth time in program history, April 19-21. On the womens side, the Nittany Lions will host a total of six meets inside the historic Recreation Building, including a trio of quad meets.
The two teams will co-host their annual Blue & White Showcase on Dec. 13 and is a free event open to the public.
Season ticket prices for the womens three dual meets totals $18 for adults and $12 for youth, while the mens dual season consists of only one home event at a $6 adult and $4 youth season ticket. The additional three double dual meets can be purchased on a season basis for $18 and $12 as well. Single meet tickets are available for all home meets in advance and at the door on the event night at a cost of $8 for adults and $5 for youth. Group tickets (15 or more) can be purchased in advance for a reduced rate of $4 each.
The home schedule will open for the mens team versus Army on Jan. 12, before the women will begin their home campaign by hosting Minnesota, Kent State and Towson on Jan. 19. Another womens quad meet, featuring Iowa, Rutgers and Pittsburgh, on Jan. 26 comes just a week before the two programs host the first of three double-dual meets. The Feb. 2 program will feature both Nittany Lion programs squaring off with Ohio State.
Another double-dual will feature the mens squad facing Springfield College and the womens program hosting Michigan State on Feb. 23, before the third and final double-dual of the season will watch the men take on Michigan and the women face off with Kentucky on March 16. Between those will be a womens quad with New Hampshire, Temple and Penn heading to Rec Hall for a March 9 date.
The final double-dual of the year will watch as the mens team welcomes Big Ten rival Michigan and the womens squad entertains Kentucky on March 16 to close out both home regular season schedules.
