— Penn State’s bid to finish undefeated in Big Ten road games ended with a 32-23 loss to Nebraska before 85,527 fans today at a windy Memorial Stadium.

The Cornhuskers (7-2, 5-1 Big Ten) outscored the Nittany Lions 26-3 in the second half. Penn State (6-4, 4-2) led 20-6 at halftime.

Nebraska took its first lead on Taylor Martinez’s 5-yard touchdown pass to Jamal Turner with 10:57 left. Penn State’s following drive ended with tight end Matt Lehman fumbling inside the Nebraska 1-yard line. The turnover was Penn State’s second fumble inside Nebraska’s 20.

Zach Zwinak had his fourth 100-yard game in Big Ten play, rushing for 141 yards on 21 carries. Zwinak had a career-long 50-yard touchdown run on the game’s opening drive.

Penn State tight end Kyle Carter left the game with a wrist injury in the third quarter.

Indiana visits Penn State next Saturday.
