Dog Jog Hurricane Sandy food drive this week

Published: November 12, 2012

The Dog Jog Foundation will hold a relief drive for Hurricane Sandy victims from noon to 6 p.m. Thursday outside the Student Book Store, 330 E. College Ave.

Canned or boxed food, pet food, water, cleaning products, hygiene products, bleach and batteries are much appreciated and will be hand delivered to the nonprofit “Project Rebuild” by members of the Dog Jog Foundation during the week of Thanksgiving. They plan to drive to New Jersey in order to offer the donated materials personally.

While mainly focusing on animal welfare, The Dog Jog Foundation wishes to improve the quality of life for every living being on the planet. Hurricane Sandy affected humans and animals alike, and the members of The Dog Jog Foundation encourage everyone from the local community to donate to those who were impacted by the devastating storm.
