UNIVERSITY PARK — Penn State has lost one of its key players for the rest of the season.
Coach Bill O'Brien said at Tuesday's weekly news conference that tight end Kyle Carter will not play this week against Indiana and next week against Wisconsin. Carter injured his right wrist in the third quarter of last Saturday's loss at Nebraska.
O'Brien declined to reveal the extent of Carter's injury.
Carter ended his redshirt freshman season with 36 catches for 453 yards in nine games. He missed this month's Purdue game with an ankle injury.
