UNIVERSITY PARK — Penn State men’s basketball officially added senior walk-on forward Kevin Onyeaka, of Harrisburg, to the roster on Wednesday.
He joined the Nittany Lions through open tryouts that were held in late October. The 6-foot-5, 205-pound forward was a two-season starter and team captain at the Penn State-Mont Alto campus.
Mont Alto is a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA). As a sophomore, Onyeaka was one of the team’s leading scorers and rebounders.
The Nittany Lions lost senior guard Tim Frazier to a season-ending Achilles injury during Sunday’s contest against Akron in Puerto Rico.
