UNIVERSITY PARK — The Penn State men’s basketball team’s game against La Salle on Dec. 5 has been moved to a 9 p.m. tipoff time and will be shown nationally on television.
The game, set for Philadelphia’s historic Palestra, will be shown on NBC Sports Network. It was originally set to start at 7 p.m.
The Nittany Lions (3-2) will face Boston College at 9:15 p.m. Wednesday at the Bryce Jordan Center in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.

Slay, Courtney win Big Ten weekly honors
PARK RIDGE, Ill. — Penn State’s Katie Slay and Megan Courtney picked up weekly volleyball honors from the Big Ten after their performances in the No. 1 Nittany Lions’ final matches of the regular season.
Slay totaled 15 kills and .464 hitting with 13 blocks during 3-0 sweeps of Ohio State and Michigan State last week to be named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week.
Courtney totaled 12 kills, 11 blocks and seven digs over teh two matches to earn conference Co-Freshman of the Week honors. She shared the award with Illinois’ Jocelynn Birks.
The Nittany Lions (29-2, 19-1) open against Binghamton at 7:30 p.m. Friday night at Rec Hall.

Lucas earns Big Ten honor
PARK RIDGE, Ill. — Penn State guard Maggie Lucas was selected as the Big Ten Player of the Week on Monday.
The junior guard was named the Radisson Hotel Chatsworth Thanksgiving Tournament MVP after averaging 25.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.5 steals in victories over Detroit and Cal State-Northridge. She made 53.3 percent (16-for-30) of her field goals and 75 percent (6-for-8) of her 3-pointers.
The No. 6 Lady Lions travel to Miami, Fla., on Thursday.
